Such a special piece, inspired by my own hiking adventures through Strathcona Provincial Park and the wild backcountry of Vancouver Island. It captures the view across Bedwell Lake toward Big Interior Mountain, its peaks glowing in the final light of the evening sunset.
This painting was born from a day hike through to Cream Lake before returning to Baby Bedwell for the night. Around 8 p.m., walking back along the shoreline of Big Bedwell, I turned to take in this view across the lake, the stillness, the fading light, and that quiet kind of beauty that only seems to exist deep in the mountains. It’s a moment I’ll never forget, and one I wanted to preserve on canvas.
Material Specifications
Paper Prints:
All paper prints are printed on matte, cotton-rag, archival paper, elegantly textured for a mould-made feel with a streamlined 1" white border.
Canvas Prints:
Canvas prints are printed in a sumptuous satin finish using Breathing Color LYVE canvas with award-winning, OBA free, truly archival, museum-grade canvas with incredible dMax and sharp detail. We carefully coat all of our canvas prints with Breathing Color Timeless Coatings, which are certified 100+ year archival by the Fine Art Trade Guild and offer superior UV protection. Stretched canvas prints are built upon 1.5" deep stretcher bars offering presence off the wall and a museum feel. The sides of the canvas are treated in a solid black colour.
Rolled canvas prints include a 2.5" border which allows for stretching on bars up to 1 1/2" deep.
Sizing:
Unframed (rolled) print dimensions are exact to what is shown on the store. For example, a 20x20" paper print measures 20" by 20". This measurement includes the 3/4" white boarder. An unframed 40x40" canvas print includes a 2.5" border, for a total dimension of 45x45" (the image area is 40x40").

Unframed (rolled) prints and framed paper prints are available globally. Framed canvas prints are currently available within Canada.
Insurance:
Your shipment is also insured, covering any damage upon arrival. If you do have this happen, please take photos of the package upon arrival and we will begin a claim for you where your order will be reprinted and shipped.
