Description
48" x 48" Original Painting on Canvas. This piece was inspired by the lush coastal forests of Vancouver Island and painted as a celebration of the places that have shaped so much of my life. Moss-covered branches reach overhead while shafts of light filter through the canopy, illuminating the rich greens that make these woods feel almost otherworldly. It is the feeling of stepping off the trail, slowing your pace, and becoming completely immersed in the living world around you.
What makes this piece especially meaningful is that it was painted alongside my daughters. As they explored the forest floor, collected treasures, and asked endless questions about the world around them, I found myself seeing these woods through fresh eyes. Full of wonder. Full of possibility. Full of life.
For me, this painting is about more than a forest. It is about connection. To nature, to family, and to the simple moments that become the memories we carry forward. The scent of cedar and fir in the air, moss beneath small hands, sunlight dancing through the branches, and the quiet reminder that some of life's richest moments are also its simplest.

To ensure your artwork arrives safely and to minimize shipping costs, all original paintings are carefully removed from their stretcher bars, rolled with archival materials, and shipped securely in a heavy-duty mailing tube. Your painting can be professionally re-stretched by a local framer upon arrival.
International Orders
Collectors outside Canada are responsible for any applicable import duties, customs fees, VAT, or local taxes charged by their country.
Due to the custom nature of international artwork shipments, all international original painting sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Every original painting is packaged with the utmost care to ensure it arrives safely and ready for its next chapter in your home.
Material Specifications
Original Paintings:
Each original painting is one-of-one, painted by hand on primed cotton canvas.
Many of these works have travelled with me to the places that inspired them, down forest trails, across beaches, beside waterfalls, and into the wild corners of the Pacific Northwest where they were painted. Because of this process, original works may carry minor imperfections, traces of the trail, subtle marks, or other handmade qualities. These aren't considered defects, but part of the story and character of an original piece made by hand and created in the landscape that inspired it.
Original paintings are carefully removed from their stretcher bars and shipped rolled in protective packaging within a sturdy mailing tube. They will require professional re-stretching onto stretcher bars upon arrival. The edges will be protected in shipping to ensure it arrives it pristine condition.
Paper Prints:
All paper prints are printed on matte, cotton-rag archival paper, elegantly textured for a mould-made feel with a streamlined 1" white border.
Canvas Prints:
Canvas prints are printed in a sumptuous satin finish using Breathing Color LYVE canvas: OBA-free, archival, museum-grade canvas with exceptional dMax and sharp detail. Each canvas print is carefully coated with Breathing Color Timeless Coating, certified 100+ year archival by the Fine Art Trade Guild and offering superior UV protection.
Stretched canvas prints are built on 1.5" deep stretcher bars, giving the artwork presence off the wall and a museum-quality feel. The sides of the canvas are finished in solid black.
Rolled canvas prints include a 2.5" border to allow for stretching on bars up to 1.5" deep.
Sizing:
Original painting dimensions shown in the store refer to the intended stretched size of the artwork.
Unframed paper print dimensions are exact to what is shown in the store. For example, a 20" × 20" paper print measures 20" × 20", with an added 1" white border.
For rolled canvas prints, the listed size refers to the image area. A 40" × 40" canvas print, for example, includes an additional 2.5" border on each side for stretching, making the total canvas dimensions 45" × 45".

Complimentary shipping is included on all original paintings, worldwide.
Original paintings are carefully removed from their stretcher bars and shipped rolled in protective packaging within a sturdy mailing tube. Shipping artwork rolled allows larger original works to travel safely and securely while significantly reducing the risks associated with transporting stretched canvas internationally.
Your painting will arrive ready to be professionally re-stretched onto new stretcher bars by a local framer. Tracking is provided once your artwork has shipped.
International Collectors
International collectors are responsible for any customs duties, import fees, VAT, taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges assessed by their destination country. These charges are not included in the purchase price and vary by location.
International Return Policy
All international sales of original artwork are final. International original paintings cannot be returned or exchanged.
Fine Art Prints
Fine art prints are made to order on Vancouver Island and carefully packaged for shipping. Paper prints and rolled canvas prints are shipped securely in protective packaging, while stretched canvas prints are packaged to protect the artwork throughout transit.
Shipping rates and available delivery options for print orders are calculated at checkout based on your order and destination.
